Bespoke

While many Indian jewellers offer some degree of ‘customization’, Rasvihar provides Bespoke in its true and original sense - jewellery that’s commissioned, conceptualized and crafted to fit the wearer’s unique personality.

Language of Privilege: Rasvihar Bespoke

Bespoke is not for everyone … and not everyone can do bespoke!

For one thing, the designer must understand jewellery. And, she must understand the client. For another, the jeweller should have complete control over the entire process: from sourcing of gold and silver bullion, diamonds and gemstones to the crafting and final finishing of the piece.

Rasvihar is uniquely placed to service this very high-end market; and has been entirely successful here. Meticulous attention to detail, and a multi-checkpoint quality system at our workshop, ensures perfection at every level.

1. The process begins with a brainstorming session, where Ahalya asks leading questions and gets the client to fix on specifics.
2. Ahalya then works on various ideas, which she shares with the client.
3. Once a design is selected, the master craftsman is briefed.
4. A prototype, or ‘mount’, is made. The client sees what the final product will look like, and corrections are still possible.
5. Once the mount is approved, craftsmen shape the final jewel and add all finishing touches.
6. The client is then presented with her dream jewel.

Of course, the client is invariably delighted; because she’s a co-creator in the entire process – from initial design sketches to approval of the prototype to the finished jewellery. This way, she gets to watch her very own masterpiece come alive, right before her very eyes.

As Ahalya puts it, “Bespoke is my biggest challenge, and my biggest reward.”
