Jewellery for Life
There is a certain class of woman for whom gracious living is the ultimate art, something to be practiced every day.
These people cultivate their unique personalities; they disdain the dictates of fashion because they’re supremely confident in their own sense of style. They know exactly how to coordinate dress, shoes, accessories and jewellery, so only their individuality shines through.
They’re usually in positions of authority, and they’re invariably understated. They expect their jewellery to be the same.
In India, however, most jewellery is designed for the big events of life, like weddings and festivals, where tradition demands expensive adornments for proper worship of the gods.
Naturally, most Indian jewellery isn’t meant for everyday living. And, just as surely, most Indian women have to content themselves with showing off their jewellery, never themselves.
However, for some, jewellery is not a luxury; it’s an important part of everyday life. While these people have no use for anything that overtly says ‘wealth’, they do need jewellery to accentuate their individual style. And they do need many, many jewels to coordinate with their ‘look’, which by definition has to be fresh every day.
Now, these women can be found all over the world. They could be European, they could be American, but they’re all looking for jewellery that’s wearable, livable, and has ’style, substance and soul’.
They’d never, ever, settle for anything that isn’t quite as unique and original as they are. And price is no object for that special privilege.
These are the women who know exactly what they want, but they very rarely find it. It’s a glorious sight, though, when they do.
We at Rasvihar see that look of pure pleasure more often than most. Obviously, it’s one thing we never tire of.
